My first photos documenting life

were at a 1980's Kent secondary modern school, shot on a basic 110 film camera. I was frustrated by the camera, but awake to the magic of capturing moments on film.

As a self-taught photographer, it took several years, over many travels, to become confident with slide film and black and white printing. Building my first darkroom was great, with many long sessions enjoying music in the red glow, as images magically appeared on the paper.

In 1996 I joined a London photojournalism agency, and in 1997 enhanced my visual storytelling, studying at Cardiff University.

My analogue images have been published worldwide, and I have collaborated with a wide range of work, including PR agencies and prestigious London clients, using film to capture life in the UK and worldwide.

I don't put images online, but the recipients are welcome to.

London continues to be my base.
